Adsense background for more Clicks!
Update 21st October 2006. WangInternet.com received an email from the Google Adsense Team today. In the email, it was stated the following.
“To be specific, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the advertisers and their offerings. The use of such images may confuse users
or draw undue attention to the ads and result in unintentional clicks.”
The following links were also provided in order to keep your adsense account in good standing.

In order not to encourage any unintentional clicks, the adsense background free download link will be removed. As for the performance of this method, it did not lead to any additional clicks, maybe due to it appearing more like an Advert. A sample of how the background looks like:

Reading through the AssociatePrograms.com site the other day, an interesting post caught my attention!
New way to get more AdSense clicks!
It’s about Jay Young and his secret weapon to instantly maximize revenue from Google Adsense. This weapon of his is developed to deal with Google Adsense Banner Blindness. With so many site publishers advertising with Adsense, more and more Internet surfers are beginning to understand how Adsense works. Even the blended color themes and ads going together aren’t doing well anymore.
There’s got to be a way to make Google Ads fresh, attractice and eye catching. Jay Young came out with a package which includes 103 Adsense Background for the price of $57. He also checked with the Adsense Team to ensure that none of his background images are in violation of the TOS.
I was initially tempted to purchase this package but my instinct told me, hold on, why not create an Adsense Background on my own then test and measure it’s effectiveness. Who knows? An image like this nearby the ads could make it stand out more as an ad thus leading to less clicks.
An Adsense background was immediately created with some tools and applied on this site. Till now, I’m still measuring the success and I’m thinking why measure it alone? I should share it with the world!
Download the (Link Removed) just like the one at the top of this page. Only difference is that it’s a train instead of a plane. Enjoy!
The following are steps to apply the images on your adsense ad:
1. After download, unzip the file.
2. In the folder Free Adsense Background, there’s a folder called HTML, double click on it.
3. To get the codes, right click on train.html then Open with Notepad.
4. Copy the html codes from within the tables. Remember to change the adsense details to yours.
5. Upload all images in the images folder to your web hosting.
6. Walla all done!
If you do decide to implement this background on your site, do share with the rest on how well or bad it’s doing. If you dont, let us know what you think of this method. Will it lead to more clicks? Till then hope you earn more with Adsense! All the best!

Could you give me direction of how can i do that in blogger? It’s a very nice thing with the plane, the first time i opened this page my eye got stuck on the plane and i just want to scroll over it, LoL!!
To apply this image on blogger you simply upload the images to blogger or photobucket.
Then from the html, simply change the image paths to where your images were uploaded.
Hope you get to apply it!
May I know what format this image works with? Or it can be any format? Thanks.
Hi Vincent, this image work with the 200 X 200 format. Do let me know if you need an image for any particular format. I can try to work on it and make it available for all.

[...] Another good example of blending but also standing out is Adsense Backgrounds. It’s a method of buzz recently and claimed to be successful in bringing up CTR. Some may understandably worry about its abidance of the Adsense program policy. According to many practicers, it is approved by Google as long as the backgrounds steer clear of confusing visitors of content and ads. Take a peek at here and here. But I should really warn you before trying this out that, make a request for review to Adsense support team and see for yourself what they’d say about your implementation of Adsense backgrounds. And it’s no harm reading this post at webmasterworld. [...]

А может и правда всегда думать только о хорошем, а все плохое переворачивать?
When I put my adsense code into my html, it works perfectly fine in firefox. But in Internet explorer, it makes everything but my background disappear. I’ve tried putting my code between div tags and tables in various places on my site, and nothing works. Any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.

WOW.. I like this post. It is really worth reading. I haven’t used any adsense background before. I think I will now.
Glad you’ve removed the Adsense background download. However, I think if you’re super transparent with your readers about what you’re doing, it’s fine. If you’re providing them relevant content (i.e. ads) that they want to click, then it should be their right.
Hi, interesting info on adsense background, I’ll try implementing it and hope to see some more updates from you my friend.
I’ve heard that Google insists that background images are fine so long as the ads are clearly portrayed as ads, and clearly distinguished from the content.
Getting people to click on your ads get harder and harder each and every day. A good method is to rotate ad blocks to reduce ad blindness.
I asked Google this a long time ago, and I was told it was acceptable…using images as background design elements is considered different from misleadingly drawing attention I guess…
Thanks for the information. I wondering why this post was not noticed by me. I surely can increase my earnings by following these instructions with out the risk of fraud in big G’s eyes. Happy earning for everyone. Wish me the same.
According to recent news I’ve heard that Google is not allowing transparent backgrounds in Adsense ads.
Well, it seems like this is one of the rules most webmaster tend to oversee at first, as it isn’t stated directly in their (Google Adsense’s) TOS.
When optimizing websites, consideration of colors plays the most sensitive part in the process. Why? Because choosing the best AdSense background color also rely on how publishers use their sense of art in order to advertise their units and earn more clicks. The only problem is that playing too many colors may destruct the whole content of the site and the viewers’ interest.
Nice post would defintely be trying Adsense backgrounds for clients and would be measuring their revenue increase
