My two cents

Whether or not the fraud case is true or not, I have decided to stop promoting the GoClick Affiliate program even though their payout is $25 per successful application. Personally, I have tried using GoClick with little success. This I’m comparing against Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing which brought more success. The traffic that GoClick brings is very misleading as the domain names can’t be accessed sometimes. It’s just amazing that GoClick is still around and can afford to pay affiliate marketers $25 even if a customer signs up a $10 deal.
So… the decision is made!
The GoClick Affilate is removed from the top left and at the bottom!
While looking through my site meter and analyzing the traffic, I realize that many visitors come to my site though the search term Adsense Background. Most of the search traffic for this keyword leads to one of my post on Adsense Background for more Clicks! If you read the post in detail, you will realize there’s no free adsense background to download because the background that I’ve created was against the Adsense TOS. However, there’s this site called adClustr which really gives out free ad background and adsense advices.

Increase web site traffic through Pay Per Click
Update 21st October 2006. WangInternet.com received an email from the Google Adsense Team today. In the email, it was stated the following.
“To be specific, we ask that publishers not place misleading images near Google ads or use images that appear to be directly associated with the advertisers and their offerings. The use of such images may confuse users
or draw undue attention to the ads and result in unintentional clicks.”
The following links were also provided in order to keep your adsense account in good standing.

In order not to encourage any unintentional clicks, the adsense background free download link will be removed. As for the performance of this method, it did not lead to any additional clicks, maybe due to it appearing more like an Advert. A sample of how the background looks like:
