How to find the best web hosting plan

Thursday 2 July 2009 @ 12:06 am

choose web hostingA few days ago, a friend told me about an article he read in the Internet about people making a living via their blog sites. Since he didn’t have much experience on how to start a web site, I sent him a few links to look through. After a few days of reading and researching, he managed to start his very first blog site – Google Adsense Tutorial. The blog site was hosted on blogger.com and he asked me about the possibility of hosting on a proper web hosting company since he has heard of blogspot sites being hijacked and removed for no reason. I told him that there are many web hosting out there in the market today. It all depends on one’s needs and requirements. For some, they would go for lower cost while some would go for one which provides unlimited bandwith.

So his next question to me, where is a good place to start looking for web hosting plans? And if possible, it should show him a list of top web hosting plans so that he could easily compare them side by side.

Without hesitating, I recommended to him a site that’s at the back of my head called FindMyHosting.com

FindMyHosting.com allows one to easily search and compare web hosting plans. Continue Reading »

Wednesday 23 January 2008 @ 4:05 pm

The next generation of affiliate marketing is here after eight years of research and development by Pepperjam. Their new product was just launched and it’s called Pepperjam Network

Pepperjam network

Some interesting facts about Pepperjam Network:

  • Pepperjam Network addresses the two primary shortcomings of other existing affiliate networks, namely (1) poor, unreliable communication tools and (2) lack of affiliate transparency.
  • Affiliates and advertisers can communicate in real-time via Pepperjam Chatâ„¢
  • The introduction of pepperjamADS, the first-ever affiliate marketing widget that affiliates can use to serve customized contextual ads from one or multiple Pepperjam Network advertisers at the same time.
  • Pepperjam has received numerous awards and achievements, including recognition by Inc. Magazine for two consecutive years as one of the fastest growing privately-held businesses in the United States.

Some featured Pepperjam Network advertisers:

  • Text-link-ads
  • Seomoz.org
  • Playphone
  • DKNY
  • and many more

My two cents

I signed up a few days ago and so far I find using Pepperjam Network quite impressive. The website is really simple to use with great user interface. Searching for afiiliates to promote is also simple and easy. The site as a whole is very well thought out. I’m definitely looking forward to promoting products from Pepperjam Network in the next few days.

Either you’re an advertiser or a publisher, just remember to visit Pepperjam Network! They are the affiliate marketing company that will be around for a long time.

How to search for a good domain name

Saturday 3 November 2007 @ 3:30 am

Recently I’ve been thinking of new ways to make more money online. When I finally thought of a good idea, the next thing that came to my mind was to think of a good domain name.

If you’re wondering what’s my great idea about, well… ok I’ll let you all know. The site will allow people to exchange reviews. Nowadays there are many sites which allows you to purchase reviews. Just to name a few: ReviewMe, SponsoredPosts, PayPerPost. The thing about these sites, they will take a cut from the reviews you wrote as a publisher, which also equates to paying more for a review purchase. So the big idea is all about a marketplace for publishers to exchange reviews. I can’t foresee how successful the site can become but this sort of site is worth going to.

So the next step is to get a good domain name. We all know the importance of a good and catchy domain name that people can easily mention and remember. The first domain name that I could think of is… ReviewExchange.com! I wonder if it’s still available. So I headed over to Gossimer’s domain services.

I quickly did a search for ReviewExchange to see if it’s still available.

Shucks!!! The domain name is no longer available! But wait, Gossimer’s domain services recommended a list of other domain names. One good name that caught my attention was…. ReviewBarter.com!

Isn’t it smart? The domain services engine managed to recommend an even better domain name for me. So the next time you need to search for a good domain name, head over to Gossimer’s domain services. The price of $8.88 a year is also quite affordable.

Besides domain services, Gossimer also has web hosting plans starting from $5.95 a month which has many features including Fantastico. Their servers are are on OC3 connections at Hurricane Datacenter. In case anything goes wrong, all plans also come with 24 hour support. For sure you can expect your site to be hosted on a fast and reliable center.
