There’s now a way to encourage more of your site visitors to comment on your posts. And it’s through the DoFollow Wordpress plugin. The DoFollow plugin basically disables the nofollow attribute from your blog comments.
The following is a list of sites which have implemented the DoFollow plugin so you could go there and comment away knowing that your links will be followed by search engines.
Sites which have implemented the DoFollow plugin
- Andy Beard - Blog Search Engine Performance, Wordpress, Niche Marketing, Affiliate Marketing Tips and Social Media with Original Opinion and Loads of Attitude
- pqInternet.com - Information, Skills, and Tools for Building an Internet Business
- Jim Kukral - Marketing Ideas Online
- Carlocab.com - Make money online with a 13 year old
- Terence Chang - Blah blah blog
And of course this site, Wang Internet = Internet Money Made Online also supports this movement.

If you too have disabled the nofollow attribute on your site and joins this list, simply comment below and let more people know about it! It’s that simple.

Hi there..
Thank you for visiting. I do DoFollow as well. Would you mind to add me to your list. I am also trying to figure out how to get a list of DoFollow on to my page.
See you soon!
Every day, I toy with the idea of going with dofollow more. Maybe after I re-theme my blog!
Thanks for the 4 links + your link. Anyway, do you think added dofollow will hurt your blog seo?
Hi,
I am not technical in these things at all but maybe having a do follow would get more people comming to the blogs?
and leaving comments so more traffic?
And speaking of which i should start a blog, its one thing i havent done yet and should get set up.
steve
I was thinking of starting a blog too but I am sceptical because wont dofollow attract the spammers? I mean, if you write good content then that should surely get people posting to your blog? I’m generally fishing around some blogs to get information about how to start of my blog, get a few ideas, etc.
its all the bloggers choice to have the plugin it helps more for people to find related topic bloggers who share the same interests or are in the same niche.
Good to know… thankyou for the information. I am going to change my no follow policy.
I have not only implemented DoFollow on my blog, I have also installed CommentLuv. CommentLuv give you 2 links to your blogs for every comment you leave.
As for getting spammers leaving comments. Only one or two per day slip through the Akismit plug-in so it’s easy enough to sort through them and delete the comments who don;t deserve to be published.
If you want more information about the CommentLuv plug-in pop over to my blog and have a look for the review I write which includes a link to the free download.
I guess there are trade-offs to having the dofollow tag, instead of the common nofollow for most sites. Yes it might hurt your rankings because link juice is being distributed further, but you will receive more traffic because people will be more inclined to read and comment. And those readers might even link to you, which will in turn help you in your rankings.
Seriously considering this plugin, thanks!
Thanks, I was looking for the plugin and your post came up! I will see to install it now and become a part of the growing community of dofollowers. If all comments are moderated anyways and akismet gets most of the spam, what’s the point?
Hi
It will be possible to you interestingly, here we discussed about dofollow:

I like this video a lot

As a newbie to blogging, I have thought about this over and over again. Then, when I decided to start a few websites, I tried to find DoFollow sites to add a few links here and there. To tell you the truth, there are very few DoFollow blogs out there. It does attract spam, but that is what comment moderation is for I believe.
I do support the doFollow plugin. I think Google just wants to lauch something that makes the search engine optimization more difficult to achieve. They have certainly achieve that but I don’t think that the accuracy of the search results have been significantly improved.
Curious Cat Science and Engineering Blog is dofollow. Akismet keeps down most of the spam (even some of the human generated spam). I don’t have too many spam comments to delte - but I am sure there are more because the blog is dofollow. I am plenty willing to delete links that don’t add value to our readers (links to personal blogs or websites I think are great - giving our readers a way to connect).
I also support the use of Do-follow plugin. I have it installed on my wordpress blog too.
This totally awesome. But i have another.
