Logged into my paypal account today and found out that PayPal just gave me a bonus.

Now… the big question is, why did PayPal give out this bonus? As far as I remember, I did not promote PayPal at all.
Did any of you out there get this bonus from PayPal as well?
If yes, is it always the same amount? $1.95 USD.
Please leave a comment below if you know anything about this bonus. I’ll probably check with PayPay in the mean time.

Hmm.. I just check my paypal accounts. I got no bonus. I guess you might have been using Payppal on ebay or somewhere a while or for a huge amount.
I would like to to know why as well. Please keep me post.
it is because you verified your credit card/debit card before and they deduct some of your money and now they debit back to you.
abc, I believe you’re right. I did indeed verify my status via a credit card. So the $1.95 is a return from Paypal.
Probably the displayed message should be something like Paypal Verification Return rather than bonus.

Yes I agree, the 1.95 is the refund of the varification ammount.
It’s some sort of refund. When they verify your account, they bill a certain amount on your credit card, then refund the US$1.95. Well, it’s easier to transact in online shops using a verified paypal account.

yes, this is great information and you you are doing good to sharing tis with others.
great infos indeed, but no bonus for me:(
Well paypal usually deposit a small sum of money in your account to verify that it’s indeed your account.
Not fair, I never got my $2 tip

i think that’s the money you paid/used for the verification. ^^
No, “Article Directory”, it was an not interest payment. It was a refund for the account verification. PP charges your bank/credit card account $1.95 so you can recieve the verification code. Then after you follow the steps and verify, they will refund your PayPal account in the amount of $1.95. I agree with a lot of the commentors…why does PayPal call it a “Bonus”? They should call it a “Refund for Account Verification.” A lot less confusing!
